U all quit braking sh#t

yea, I guess it was hard to tell I'm the sensitive kind ain't it.
it was all them rough miles I put on this ole body in my youth.
Of course Rocky, you seemed a little PC the last time,,, LOL.
I had you figured as the kind of man who'd speak his mind.
Boy was I right...:D
Seriously, I can't wait till fall rolls around,
Fender will have paint this time.
Sissy bar ain't quite so tall now.
Hopin to have my extra gauge installed (gear indicator)
Which brings me to another point.
Anybody got any experience with a digital thermometer?
I want to get one hooked up to my oil and another to my water.
I figure I can install the H2O one below the radiator, but I'm at a loss as to where to tap into the oil at.
Any ideas?

c'mon now boys,
Surely somebody has put a digital oil sensor in somewhere besides the oil tank.
I mean, it ain't very convienent there is it.
Can't really tell the temp till its sittin still and you're off the bike.
Kinda defeats the purpose of knowing how hot it is while its runnin don't you think?
ok, has anybody ran an oil cooler?
if so, where'd you tie it in at.

Skip you don't need no fancy sensor to check the oil temp. I use my own sensor, my leg  and it says warm, hot, and hot ****!!

There are two OEM replacement oil reservoir dipstick oil temperature sensors. I have the analog and it works just fine. Granted you can't see it except when a stops but that's frequent enough for me. Hombre posted a sandwich adapter device which directed the oil from behind the oil filter. I don't believe he specified the exact radiator he incorporated. Like this one: Sandwich Adapters

At one time I would have oil temp running in excess of 200 F on the hottest of August days. Otherwise the oil would heat up to 185. I too considered a sandwich adapter and an axillary cooler. But after I began using water wetter coolant additive (ProLine), with every coolant change out (0 F winter anti-freeze solution), I've yet to see a reading in excess of 185; usually it's nearer 175. I do see, occasionally, a small amount of boil over from the puke tank when using the water wetter in the summer months without the anti-freeze boil -over protection; but it has been minimal. What I'd like to see is a means to delay the radiator cooling fan shut off. With such a delay, I wager, there'd be no puking after shutdown.
