While checking out why Mevorach has such a problem with decel pop it occurred to me that the SAI valve which is installed to burn fuel on decel might be causing a problem (not possible if it has been removed). There is a method according to the AI search I used to disable that valve electrically with TuneECU so no need to remove the system until it gets old and and starts leaking causing decel pop again. From the web:
Yes, it's possible to disable the SAI (Secondary Air Injection) valve on a Triumph Rocket 3 using TuneECU, according to TuneECU documentation. TuneECU allows users to modify and upload custom maps to the ECU, including the ability to enable or disable specific devices like the SAI valve.
Here's how you can do it:
If the exhaust has been changed to freer flowing slip-ons, like Competition Werkes, or whole sale changed like Vandemons this might improve the decel pop since no fresh oxygen will be injected into the exhaust stream to burn what fuel is in the exhaust pipe.

Here's how you can do it:
- Connect to the bike and read the map from the ECU .
- Navigate to the "Devices" section in the TuneECU map editor .
- Locate the SAI valve .
- Disable the SAI valve by clicking on it and selecting "Disable" or using the right mouse button and selecting "Disable" .
- Save the revised map and upload it to the ECU .
