Hello! I have the scrolling indicators coming from the UK tomorrow. They were about the same price as trying to get them in the U.S., even with shipping and duties, and at least they were available. It seems like a straightforward swap and I've read somewhere that it shouldn't throw any fault codes or the like. So I will attempt it myself.
The other day, I brushed by the bike and grazed the right rear stalk sufficient to bend it enough from the mounting base to expose some of the wire. Looks like the power and ground are sheathed. I tried to loosen the bolt to tuck the wire back in but when I attempted it the bolt just rotated without loosening or tightening.
I was ultimately able to wedge the wiring back in without having to remove the bolt but now I'm wondering what exactly the bolt threads into... a nut or just something cast into the resin? And either way, how will I back it out to replace all the indicators?
