tune

Hi guys, i just had a 10k service and they put a updated tune in ,now i have lots of popping on overrun which i can live with as it upsets the locals...i do have a Very bad miss fire if i gun it ? I returned it to the dealer and they told me it had spat out the tune so they cleared it and reloaded the update again..three trips and the missfire is back ......Has anybody had the upgrade put in and do they have the same problems.

They told me a sprint owner had an upgrade put in and he hated it

I think one of the UK guys had the same problem some months back, don't remember the cure tho'maybe search for the post..
I know the Dynojet PCv stops any ex popping but its an extra expense.

Have found two threads on the problem and both seem to think some thing may be loose or trapped will have to have a look --------------------------
Roadout today and still not good so took it back to the dealer they will have a look BUT not till next week ..lucky i am working 12 hr for the next 5 days so will not have time to ride.

I had that exact same thing happen, turned out they'd loaded on the tune for a touring without TORS when it should have been with. Loaded the right one and it was fine

Thanks for that Frank i am going tomorrow so i will talk to them and see if they loaded the right tune

Learn how to use TuneECU and do it yourself. Its free! They did the same thing to me but instead of taking it back I went with TuneECU and don't need to take it in any longer far as tuning. It cleared up the popping and ran much better.

Right have been back............ they reset the tune found the wrong one was in there ,the voltage was wrong in the stepper motor all reset sofar so good going out now to see what its like.
