Triumph newbie here...

Welcome from nyc...i also have a Goldwing(03). I love the wing(specially 2up) but you are right, the triumph its on a league of their own.

Here she is. Love that pearlescent black paint with red stripes.

Purchased a 2015 Rocket III Roadster today. Traded in my '08 Goldwing.

I live in the foothills of the Cascade mountains in Oregon, and the Triumph looks like it is up to it. I considered one years back when I got the Goldwing, but chose the Honda instead for some long trips. I am glad for the Goldwing choice back then, but the Triumph fits the bill now.

I am astounded something with the horsepower and torque this has is so mild and manageable in the parking lot. Really turns in nice on the corners on the road and in town. But, a twist of the throttle brings out the beast, right this second. Catching the salesman riding the Trophy was NOT an issue. But a milder hand brings on reasonably slow revs in overdrive and a sort of lazy effortlessness.

I look forward to learning a bit about the bike and Triumphs. I met an owner who traded in his Harley on a Thunderbird a year ago. Gone was vibration, better comfort and he said reliability was rock solid.

It is good to be here!
Welcome from Alberta. you may miss the reverse gear assist but I doubt youll ever regret the rocket

Welcome from Missouri and also a new R3r owner.

I love Oregon and I've fished Salmon all over the State.

We came very close to buying property in either Brookings or Gold Beach, adjacent to the beach but property taxes were excessive: $400,000 home had taxes of $16,000 yearly. (4%) Missouri has 1/2 % of appraised.

My favorite ride is from Reddings, CA on hwy 299 to the coast and then up to the KOA in Brookings, in the Redwoods. Done it many times.

Enjoy and be safe.

Sam

Nice one Dalan. I have one exactly the same but with sports screen and black tear drop mirrors. They really do improve visibility and look much better than the stock ones IMO. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
