Does anybody know if the TOR's have eliminated the cats. I understand they are in the exhausts. They're lighter than the stock cans, but I'm not so sure they're gone. Sure thought it would sound a little louder than it does. The R3 classic with the 3 pipes sounds a lot better to me. Anybody know for sure.
Thanks in advance

New Roadster with TORs, sissybar and luggage rack, flyscreen. As soon as I change the oil to syn, I'm loading the tuneboy and putting her on a dyno. I'm going to do a couple of pulls with the stock set up before I load the TB and retune. I'll be abe to show the real RWHP of the stock bike with Tors and triumph tune, and then the increase with a custom map with tuneboy. Then I'll chop the BC and put on the K and N's and see what that will do for me. I'll keep everyone up to snuff with the results.

Have you found a tuner that works with the tuneboy? According to guys using it here on the site, there aren't many who are equiped to make adjustments on the dyno. Most shops are more familiar and use equipment from DynoJet. Thought I'd ask just in case you had not checked that issue with your shop yet. Those kind of suprises during your long awaited appointment arent much fun. :(
Or do you get to play with it yourself? :)

We do it ourselves. I have the good fortune of riding with a Electronical Engineer who really know his ****. He's trying to teach me more, but I am kind of computor ignorant.lol
We got to use one shops dyno for free, by him showing them how to tune with the tuneboy. Any tuner that uses dynojet can understand how to use TB. I"m currently using a Honda shop's dyno.
He's the guy who helped me map out my Bonnie with TB. He's a member here. Not sure of his user name on this site. Great guy, who also has an R3 and was the first to let me ride one. The rest is history.( my new Roadster)
He already has the roadster base tune ready to load into my bike.

We were going to try to set a deal to use someone's dyno and set up appointments to custom map bike with Tuneboy. Service to include Intall and custom mapping in the Houston area.

There's a small cat box (I think) under the swingarm where the header splits into two. there is supposed to be cats in each standard can as well. Changing to tors doesn't get rid of the wee box, so you'd need a new y-piece as well I think, or cut it open and get rid of the innards! I poked a wire into the box and there's something in there , it's not straight through.
let us know how you get on with the dyno run, and if Triumph's figures are anything like correct!

Could I use the cat eliminator for the standard R2 Classic? Does it look like that? I figured the crossover looked a little weird. Maybe why it's so quiet, even with the TORs.

I can tell you right now, the numbers I'm going to see are going to be lower than triumph states. There numbers are at the crank. My numbers will be where it counts, the rear tire. Heard of RWHP? When I get thru, I'll beat the HP rating Triumph posts at the rear wheel, not crank.

I'll be thru breaking her in this weekend and get the syn oil in her. Then we'll get started. Gotta get a few things worked out first. Need to the pipes right, then look at the triple Kand N setup. **** I wish I could get a set of those 3 into 1 Preds from Sam.

Yes those predators are gorgeous arent they.

I emailed the ZARD factory to find out if they would make any decent exhausts for the roadster, other than that HP losing model they do.. and computer says no... basically :(

Got to be matte black coloured though.. or gunmetal grey or gunmetal blue?

Will the Jardines (3 into 2) fit the new Roadster. If so, and I can't get a set of the preds, I'm going to go that route. If I do, is anyone interested in a set of tor's with about 600 miles on them? Wish i had of looked into this first. The Preds that sam has should bolt right onto my bike. Is he working on alnother order? Love to have one on my bike.
