Perhaps if we start discussing spring, it might come sooner, lol. I am coming to Whitby on March 2nd for about 6 months to build a Farm Boy grocery store. Are there any cruise nights or show and shine events that go on during the week in the GTA. In Ottawa on wed nights they do a cruise night at a racetrack, with 1 parking lot for bikes, and another for hot rods, its a fun evening, usually a couple hundred for each, just seeing if there is anything worthwhile like that in GTA.
At some point we will be down there, my mother in law lives in Dunnville (between Niagra and Hamilton) my wife wants to go to the Dunnville mudcat festival, I'll ride from Whitby, as we will be leaving at different times, I'll be 30 in ride from Buffalo.
Check this out. It's straight North on hwy 12 from the Whitby area. http://www.haugens.com/motorcycle-cruise-in/
They brew their own beer and get a few hundred bikes on a good night. I might even see you there. Perhaps we could arrange a ride in for all the local yobs?
I'm in the area about 30 minutes west of Oshawa and come by that area fairly often to visit the In Laws. I don't go to "Events" because I dont drink beer and dont bother looking at a bunch of harleys in a group, but if you want to join me for actually nice rides around our areas and by the lake and stuff you are more then welcome to join!
Haugens is good, they have big gatherings every thursday evening, I have been there a couple of times.
You might also want to check out Bobcaygeon Bikefest, this is a big one too where they close off the whole main street to bikes only..
Last time I was there a couple of years ago there was a guy doing mobile dynoes and Im thinking to get mine done just to see how much HP I have after all my mods.
Bobcaygeon is a nice ride just north from Whitby

Yep! Bobcaygeon is a little ride away but its very nice, especially on a nice summer day with blue sky.. beautiful lake to sit next to. Looking forward to going there again this year.

Take you up on it, kinda explored a little bit in the car, saw some nice roads I'd like to ride on, found some nice alternative routes back to Ottawa if I'm in no hurry either, I do like riding along the water. I'll take a ride up to Haugens, I don't drink and ride, but when I see a bunch of Harleys together in a group, reminds me of why I bought a beast instead of a hog.

There are lots of really nice roads up north of Whitby, especially up around Haliburton. here is an excellent map...you will need to click on the area you want to see it clearly..http://shanekingsley.com/Two Wheeling/ontario_bikeroads.jpg
Dear Canadian brothers please stop sending Alberta clippers, polar vortex and Siberian express down to us so we can get back to riding!! It's been a long winter, so please keep all your crappy weather north of the border.
Thank you!
