Little bit of a contradiction there, must be a small error in the tacho?
the GPS is often a bit delayed and results not always taken for sure.
I had it on my BMW R1200 GS that a peak speed was measured with 430 kph and the last ride on my rocket from the netherlands had 338 kph in the list .o)

I would say the speedo flickers in a range about plus 4-6 kph compared to the real speed.

Come RAA West, if I bring the Panigale and we find a road long and straight enough, we can test the true top speed beyond the indicated...
@140 in the quarter she approaches 200 @ the mile but doesnt quite get there stock. You would know precisely though so tell us

Thank you my friend. By your quite accurate and reliable reading, 3000rpm in 6th will be about 75.2 mph (121kph).
80mph (129kph) would be about 3200rpm in 6th. Speed at 7000rpm in 6th about 176mph (283kph).

So it appears my maths were not bad 😁

Can you inform me about 6500 rpm tacho, should be really ? What could be the deviation of the Roadster tacho rpm.
Testing the bike on german highway the gps(Tomtom) says 268kph at 6500 tacho rpm. 7000rpm tacho could be possible but got some issue with the alcohol (100%) injectionsystem. Btw, my alcohol system works fine ;)

Do you have a 240/50R16 rear tyre?
iirc, they run 77mph at 3000rpm with no change to speedo connection from stock in the map. At this gearing, 6500rpm would be 268kph.
