That I can relate to. When I had to long block my 1978 Ford Van a few years ago I had the money to let someone else do it and they did. Probably a lot cleaner install and definitely quicker than doing it myself.
Perhaps NOT so much fun to a person who doesn't know the diff between an open end and box end on a wrench, never was exposed to mechanics by his father and/or isn't interested in getting greasy.
If I had some dealer doing work on my bike I would constantly be paranoid something of extreme importance like a wheel etc may come loose at speed I have trust issues ........ Reminds me I need to check steering head bearing tensions , any tips ?
Tension it, go for a short ride, retention it.......................... Had mine done at the dealer by one of the guys that didn't know the Rocket fully............still had the shake, took it back to them and good the 'gun' mechanic to do it, he explained that while rare, he has seen it happen that once tensioned with the weight off the front, once weight is put back on the front it can be out

I cheat a little on mine. I turn the bars to the right, and get to the nut with a punch and hammer. I tapped until it turned a quarter turn, and the shaking stopped. That was more than 2 different dealers could figure to do.

HEY!!!!! Can you tell me some steps? I'd LOVE to NOT have a dealer do my oil change! I'm a mechanical moron, but I'm getting better all the time with help from brothers that have some talent for that sort of thing.

Easiest would be refer to your owner's manual or the shop manual.
Can get a pdf shop manual file from @idk.
There are three drain plugs, remove and drain.
Remove filter (chrome thingy sticking out from right front of engine)
Buy 6 quarts Mobile T4 syn and a new filter.
Do NOT over tighten the drain plugs (snug + a tad more).
Replace new filter (snug + a tad more).
