Tire grooves depth

Measured the depth of my rear tyre grooves, now at 3,7mm

Anybody know the depth of a new rear tire ???

Are there any tips & tricks to estimate the remaining mileage on a tyre ?


How do you spell tyre/tire anyway ? :?

I believe they start out at 6mm and 2mm is the minimum limit. DONT try to milk anymore out of them. At 2mm I thouhgt I could get a 600 mile ride in and they went to the cords after 150 miles. Cost 2 nights in a motel on the parkway and still had to put a car tyre on!
