Bruce, don't leave this site just because you've traded your Rocket for an Adventure bike. Look at RKTNMYPKT..... he traded down for an Indian and still lurks around here (we actually don't mind ). Give us some reasons for the change. Post some pics of the new ride.
Actually, whenever I get the inkling to purchase something different, I just go for a spirited ride on the beast and... change my mind. Maybe you didn't ride the Rocket enough..... Just saying.
Actually not too bad with the aftermarket pad, except that the seat slants forward and causes me to slide into the tank (aka ball buster). I must correct that seat slope!
The 70 mpg and 70 mph top speed is acceptable for what I want - No freeways for me on this motor. The XD250 is an excellent climber, especially when I can get my old broken ass up off the seat!
I found it just as easy to ride up to 70 miles in a day on the XD250 as riding 500+ on the Rocket. Crashes in the dirt to take an extra toll!
Well, Bruce explained to me -- not actually his first post -- just been so long -- he couldn't log in with the old email -- so, he's BAAACK, then gone.
