Those attending Maggie Valley

A good thread because it makes one aware of things that may be overlooked in haste.
Chuck these things in your bag too...
Tyre pressure gauge.
Plastic zip ties.
Tire Pando.
Bike Tool kit.
Spare nuts and bolts in a plastic screwtop jar.
Electrical Tape.
Finger nail cutters..(also handy for stripping/cutting thin wire).

Bought new tires a week ago but have not installed yet. Going to try a Michelin Commander II 140/75/17 on the front. Hope I like it.

I went with the commander II front and rear this time on mine Mully. Used @Fingers bias ply setup. 180/65 rear and 130/90 front.

Really like it so far. The narrower front tire makes the bike feel like it is 100 pounds lighter.

I run Commander II's on the Ultra Classic. Pretty good tire. Have +/- 20k on them now, but about time for a new one. Never tried it on a rocket

Here in New Zealand we have been unable to get rear tires since December.

I have put one on back order will arrive some time this month I hope.

Still have enough tread for another 4k I hope

That's a start for your journey to Maggie Valley . Hope the get in stock soon.

Just sent an Email to Flip. Brake pads
Wait a minute, brakes are for quitters. Who sells parachutes? Might head to Oz

Anybody has a good link for the place where you get the tires cheaper than the dealer?
