Things I've noticed riding in the cold.

Another advantage to riding in the winter is my wife doesn't wanna go in the cold so I'm free to mess around a bit more. In the sunmer shes with me 80% of the time.

Muffs on for the big northeast chill. Test ride today. Avoid the shiny spots. I hope.

I didn't think I'd really use the heated grips very much since all my other bikes never had them but man do they come in handy. I hate having bulky gloves on, now I can let the grips run at full heat and wear real thin gloves.
My snow blower has heated handles. I never thought I'd be a bougie *****, but being on the wrong side of 45, it's the little things that get you through it.

"Another observation, I road around for about a half hr to my dads and forgot to turn my brake free light on. On the way home I made sure it was on and there was a noticeable difference. People definitely stay back further with it on."
What is a "brake free light? Regards.

Got a "Brake Free" helmet brake light. https://www.amazon.com/Brake-Free-H...8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1 I used to do the newspaper thing when I didn't dress warm enough. Already out on a ride, Just stop off somewhere and get some "insulation" ha ha. I have all the heated stuff, but I'm still worried about black ice. Just watching some flurries on the radar right now, and its making me wonder if riding today is a good idea.
