'05. Jardines. Triple K&N's. Eastern Beaver headlight/ignition relay bypass, with optional low beam cutoff switch, New spark plugs. ***** is ready to get opened up.
Would like the secondaries 100% open, naturally
Max everything. Unleash the beast!
I have the Lonelec cable already installed with drivers. Just need a new supadupa map to install, or a lil help on how to modify my existing one to fit these requirements.
I've downloaded the 20228 Map. Will this do it? What's the difference between that and the 20226?
Thanks.
Update:
It's got map 20145 in it currently. I don't see that on the tomhamburg.netsite. Downloading it to my laptop.
20145 Map info says:
Rocket III Classic
Full power
With catalyst
Devices:
SAI is unchecked
O2 sensor checked.
No other devices
In the Table: The 2nd throttle is already all at 100 in every gear. I presume that means the secondaries are already kept open at all times. ? Sounds like it already has what I want. Any Tune experts confirm/deny/got hints? Except I have no Catalyst.
I have the same setup. I had it dynoed with the TORs tune in it and the air/fuel was 15 - too lean. you need to put a richer tune in it. There are custom tunes you can download. One is by PowerTripp but I prefer the blasted bones tune.I have posted this tune here. I am in Spain now but you should be able to find it here. All of the custom tunes on the TuneECU site will have the secondaries open 100%.

The PowerTrip Jardine tune is a lot richer than the stock TOR tune. You can compare the fuel tables in these tunes using TuneECU. I found it to be less smooth than the Blasted Bones tune. Find that one, compare them in TuneECU, then load them both. I wound up getting a PCIII and getting it custom tuned.
G'day Bruce. Ex-pat Aussie from Brissie. Been over here 13 years. Had the Rocket for close to two. Been a member on this forum for longer than I've had one. Also fan of Mad Max.

Went for a good run yesterday with the power tripp tune. Not especially impressed. Now that you mention it, it did seem a little rough. On the positive side it almost totally eliminated the popping on decel I've been having (and got used to) Gonna try the blasted bones today.
Try this one. It's the Bones tune overlaid over a newer base tune with improved idle characteristics (thanks Hans !). Working very well in mine. I'm still running stock exhaust header and Maddog mufflers. Not sure if Jardines breath better or not.
