After 9 years with my beloved Rocket 3 - I fell prey to the charms of another - My new Triumph Trophy SE. 135 HP, from 1215cc's. ABS, Cruise, Full sound package, Electronic suspension, traction control, electronic instrumentation - the whole modern bike mantra. Unfortunately, while I was able to ride it home from the dealer, the splint on my left hand is not going to let me ride for the next 3-4 weeks.

The hardest part of this will be leaving this forum and this community. I've always been treated wonderfully by the members here and I will miss you all more than you know. You are, to a man, bright, smart, witty and funny people who are unsparing with your time and help for those of us who aren't as technically adept as you may be. I have learned and received much more than I have contributed and will always treasure the time I've spent with all of you. Thank you for everything.

Now I need to sell my Rocket - let me know if you know anyone who might be interested.

Come on K, this isn't Scientology. There will be no "disconnection" just because you don't ride a rocket. Heck, we even allow Indian riders @RKTNMYPKT in.
Stay around and share your rides(used to tell my pals that back home) plus we are not a very choosy crowd for gods sake we let Fred hang around.

Phew that's good news as far as not being pelted off the Forum for buying another bike,I haven't jumped ship yet!, but I have to talk to one of my Sons to see if he is interested in having my Touring as an early inheritance ,I have grave (pardon the Pun) concerns about the long term reliability of the bike it has developed some horrible noises from the transmission the other day so yesterday I took it for a ride without my full face helmet on(in a Private Rd under controlled conditions ) and it has more knocks and rattles than a German Band so if my young bloke wants to pull it down and fix it he can have it as the trade price in for Rockets is a bit of a shock (Sweet *^** all actually) he is a competent Diesel Mechanic and has worked on our Trucks since he was a boy and now maintains his own so no problems ,in the meantime I am trawling the internet for ideas and lurking around the bike shops,I will probably go for a big Sports Touring bike FZR Yamaha or GTR 1400 Kawasaki who knows
