Am I correct in assuming the Roadster at least doesn't have any extra swithchable wires installed? I've had the tank up, checked around and only found one that was part of a flat 5 or 6 wire connector. This one may be an option after I figure out what it's supposed to do, but I was looking for a 2 wire prewired from the factory for owners to use. My DR has at least 2. Hell, my kid's 250 Ninja has 2.
I even looked under the fake powerlet plastic cover down on the left - nothing there.
Thought I might be able to use the headlight connector my EB relay system made reduntant, but that's no go when switching from hi to lo or vice versa.
Am I missing something here?

the flat 6 pin is the connector for accessory lights. your best bet for using that one is to use a relay. purple is always hot. black is ground. red w/blue turns the relay on & off (key on power)

there are other accessory ports, that on is own it's own circuit.

Thank you, bagman, I figured there had to be a driving light hookup in there somewhere and that was the only switchable port I found. The GPS draws almost nothing and is separately fused, why would I need the relay? On my DR it's just plugged into the accessory ports. And I'll bite. where did you hide the other accessory ports?? :)

Triple trouble, the way I installed my early Eastern Beaver relays, I no longer have the running lights.

Ed - Do you still have the two original wiring looms for the headlights? (the ones you changed out for the EB loom...) If so, connect one back into the spare light plug.... You can now cut into and connect your GPS to the sidelight cable....

Personally I wouldnt have a switchable GPS. I like to have it up and running until I manually turn it off, for lots of reasons, one for example would be, I dont want it to shut down every time I stop for Fuel. I know, I know, but I also cant be arsed to press the battery button every time.....:D

Yes, sir, I do still have the original wiring looms. Matter of fact I may have to reinstall them when I take the Roadster in for the headlight relay recall. Waiting to hear from the shop on that one and then I'll take it from there.
I like the idea it will shut off rather than having to count on what's left of my memory to turn it off. I do occasionally hit the leave it on button when fueling up.

A PC-8 fuse block from Eastern Beaver will give you 6 switched and 2 unswitched ports.

Alternatively, the parking lights are the yellow wires in the headlight looms (that's on a Std. confirm for your Roadster)

Like Rocket-UK, I prefer mine to be unswitched.
