STUCK TOP FORK CAP GEN 1 III

Here's one for you great minds. So I'm replacing the fork seals on my ped, easy init? If it involves me there is always an issue. Right, the bloody cap won't come off. It unscrews fully but seems to be firmly stuck on the piston thingy. I've tried gently drifting it up and off; no luck. Has anyone had this and solved it? I really don't want to take it to a workshop for this. Ah, just noticed on the parts diagram that there is a circlip up there. What does that hold?

Its not stuck. You need the tools, there is a nut on damper rod backed onto the cap, that spacer has to be depressed down until nut is exposed, then a tool goes in to hold up while you break that off cap.
