I wanted to give any newcomers easy access to find out what TUNE was probably loaded in their bike from the factory, and what the local dealer could upload to their bikes when mods were made.

If anyone knows tech info on what these maps do:
I have a 2007 R3 Classic Touring Edition, and JUST installed D&D aftermarket slip-ons and removed cat box............care to tell me which map I should get? 20149 or 20142 ? If not these, then which?

I assume I currently have the 20138 tune, and it seems to be extremely lean cause headers (with stock exhaust) were always red hot.....orange when I steadly drive 65 mph or over.

If you go to Tuneboy's website you can download the programs and tunes for free and look and decide yourself. Anything other than the 20145 and 20150 tunes have the secondaries closing in 4th and 5th gears. So if you want less power run those. You are going to run lean with any of the stock tunes until you open the wallet and get a Tuneboy or PCIII. Take some time and study the fueling and timing differences between the stock tunes and you'll see there is not much at all.

I should have made it clearer.....The only mod I have is the D&D pipes which eliminated the cat box. No other mods. I don't have the tune boy or pcIII. I just want to be prepared for when I take it to the shop to upgrade the tune with a triumph tune. Bike is still in warrantee, and dealer will load only triumph tunes.

so what's the difference between the 20050 and the 20145 then??

am askin because as far as I know the engine hasn't changed has it?

20145 has a fix to the OS or Operating Code to help fix the idle... 20050 is an old one which does not... Otherwise, the fuel/air and ignition maps (ie tune parameters) are the same...

Mike....

If your bike's a Classic which you say it is, the dealer will put in 20144 with your setup - at least that's what they did for me before I bought TuneBoy - and I have a Classic with D&D's, stock air filter

Never heard of a Triumph racing tune.... Who told you that???? There is a full power tune which really isn't full power.... Ask any tuneboy owner...

Mike....

From what I have learned the ONLY difference between simular "classic" tunes and "non-classic" tunes is the top speed. Both will perform exactly the same up to 125 mph(classic top speed), then the non-classic will go on up to 135mph if I read it correctly.
