stalling out / dying

Well, my dealer thought he had my problem with the bike dying fixed. It did better but alas, it died again. Now he's saying "maybe it's your PC III". Am I mistaken, or didn't some of you having this problem go back completely stock just to prove to them it wasn't a problem due to modifications?

What do you think? PC III a problem?

There seem's to be some belief that the TPS or throttle position sensor is the root of the Triumph idle problem, seems like any bikes Triumph Dealers have replaced the throttle bodies to try and fix this problem would come complete with a new TPS already attatched, if you have Tuneboy using the button reset isvc then following the instructions, the tuneboy reset tells you to watch the tps voltage as it opens the throttle with the stepper motor. If it does not go up enough, it tells you to adjust the stepper. Then you make sure it goes back to .6v when released. You then hit the reset adapt button, voila. Idle should be sorted. Only other issue would be the fuel hose in tank that may not be pushed on far enough, this causes intermittant stall out. More often when tank level is low, fuel light on, dont think your PC111 will be a problem disconnect and try it for a while to confirm.

Iteresting you mention the tps. My mechanic noticed that the tps voltage was NOT what it was supposed to be. He readjusted that and it ran ALOT better. It was reading WAY too high...like 7. some volts.

PC-III

The dealer told me the same thing, so i took off the PC-III to satisfy them and it still had problems. It was not the PC-III. They dealers are switching out the throttle bodies and that appears to be working.. Have not heard of any that were switched out that the problem has returned yet.
PS: I brought my 05 in to have the TB's switched out, but while bike was in there i said screw it and traded it in on a 06 R-3 Classic. I love it and dont regret it at all. They gave me a great deal also... so that made it easier...
