Squeal under acceleration

I have had a squeal start in the past few days but it only lasts a short time and only while under power . . going up a hill or accelerating from about 1800 RPM or so. Pretty sure it is coming from the engine somewhere . . not driveshaft. No vibrations or strange noises otherwise. No metal in oil in tank as far as I can tell. Started off just once in a while and it is happening more and more. Anyone have any suggestions???
 
I have a kind of chirping/low squeal just started under the same conditions,doesnt always do it and only faint.i read a thread about chain tensioner being between one tension and the next. that's what im hopeing for.!!
 
hope not,but makes sense I guess.im going to let it develop before drastic measures commence.i have 09 with 15600mls.

Clutch slip ?

Cluth adjusment has no clearance ?

You've had that bike a while. I'm leaning toward clutch pllates/springs as well. I just replaced mine a couple of months ago.
 
If the clutch isn't dry and slipping I would say it sounds like a bearing. You say it happens under power or load then I would look at the output bearing. It maybe worth checking the water pump has not had a knock. look for intake leaks they can make strange sounds as well.
