Ok. It's time to find out what that weird screw/bolt is I always turn by mistake when changing my oil.
About every time I go to take out the drain plugs to drain the oil tank, and two sump bolts I end up twisting this bolt or screw that is just threads, no head like the drain bolts. It is on the left side about halfway between the oil drain plug and the rear sump bolt, 8mm hex, same as the drain plugs. (2010 Touring). If I torque it the same as the drain bolts it just keeps going in since there's nothing to stop it when it's even with the sump pan.
I've checked the service manual and there is no reference that I can find about it.

Does anyone happen to know what that is for? Is it going to make problems if it is not adjusted to certain spot? I think I've got it turned in about 1/4 inch further that it was before I messed with it.

Thanks! Got my annual oil and filter change done for the next riding season. Only had about 1500 miles on the oil. I need to get out more.

This one?

Just put some threadlocker on it and turn it in until flush
