Looks like a barrel of fun to me.....and at 15k, cheaper than I thought it would be. Nice to have another vehicle option.
Spiders bug me
There are a couple of Spyders on the roads here in Maine and I have sat on one at the local dealer. To me they are cool only as a novelty and I can't see buying one for any reason. They are not comfortable for a cruiser rider like myself. They sound like a snowmobile, tinny and whimpy however they are quick and they always get my attention when going by.
I can't see how I would attach forward controls and Ape-hangers either. I guess I am not part of the targeted buyers group.

I took one for a test drive when they were prototypes , and had a blast. It can be very quick in the corners, I think it would be a good pick for a second ride...Put sing around in SLO with the hunny on the back looking at all the dress shops would be a lot easer than bobbling around on the R3, and still get to feel the coast breeze in are face .And the darksiders will like the car tires, front and back, so even with three tires it wont break the bank. A Rune rider bought one and sold it for a Gold Wing, he said he got bored with it. But he said he got it to do long trips with his wife , the spidey can do that but I dont think that is its strong point compared to a Wing. I would half to give up something in the barn to get one and I dont think I am ready to do that.......But Damaged had a blast on spidey and will definitely do it again if I have the chance.

I've ridden both the prototypes and the road going models. It's neat, but impractical IMO. First off, you sit LOW. I mean super low. I rode with a group of cyclists up through gordonsville, Va on one. At one point something became apparent. As all of the bikes in my group easily missed the dead possum in the middle of the road, I was forced to nail it with the back tire. The Spyder is too wide to swerve to miss something. If it's in the road, and you see cars in the opposite lane, you're nailing what ever it is.
It rides like an ATV. You lean like you were in a car. THe traction control spanks you early at the first signs of jackassery. I tried to drift the rear end in a parking lot and was greeted with a **** load of flashing lights that equated to Bombardier wagging it's finger at me. NO LEG ROOM!
Gas mileage was about 30mpg. Take into consideration that it only had 1000 miles on it.
I like Rotax twins. I've owned two. The spyder's additional weight really taxes it. I got stares and questions everywhere I went. Other than that, I prefer 2 wheels.
