The're still making the 1700.
I'm real d@mn happy with mine. But, I have to admit that I've got a case of "Shiny Bike Syndrome".
I think a Trophy or Concours may be replacing it next year. Something with a lot sharper rake.

The ones i like are the older ones, i belive tgey quit making them around 2002 i belive,

Thankyou. Try turning your pipes down. Nothing screams "look at me" more loudly than a nice set of Forans

Just because a bike has speakers we don't have to assume the guy riding, and listening, is going to ride down Main St with the volume at 11! I do 99% of my riding out in the countryside. If a piss of a few cows then sobeit.

BTW I don't smoke, so an ashtray would be completely useless.
