Solo seat project

Been gifted a classic long haul tourer seat A9078164 with adjustable riders back rest. Parts for R111 classic. Has anyone gone to the effort of cutting this down to a solo and modifying fabricating the plates to fit a 08 R3T ?
See a lot of straight up no in forums but question is; is it doable, or best off finding a Corbin or similar. Seems a good wet day time filler project. Thanks.

Not sure what the seat pan fixings look like on your Tourer. The Standard had a removable pillion for solo riding. The latch to remove the seat is the key you need to look at, if it's under the pillion you'd have to move it under the rider seat so the key will remove the seat. It can be done, depends on how much you're willing to spend to make it happen.

The Touring is a PITA, one bolt at the rear and 2 on the sides, you'd lose the rear, but the 2 on the sides would be more than adequate.
