So, did you get the free Triumph leather diary thing

Along with the Triumph zip pouch containing all the usual hand/service books / keys etc. there was a carefully wrapped and packaged box containing a similarly carefully wrapped leather Triumph diary / organiser / not-quite-filofax thing.

What's that all about? Seemed like a strange gift.

Leather? Mine is vinyl, but in a very nice Triumph logo cardboard box.

Maybe it's not leather. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to if it's just vinyl though.

What's it for exactly? Seems a random gift. Unwrapping it I was expecting some sort of badge / ornament.

Maybe it's supplied to log all your personal complaints and any failing components you may encounter during a strained ownership of the mighty R3..

On the other hand maybe the dealing was showing his kindness and appreciation of the new bike sale..

When I bought mine in 2005 came with the folder and a nice set of three pins(badges) I never wear pins so they are sitting in a drawer along with the other ones that somehow I have collected over the years.

Yeah i got one also when i bought my machine in 09
