I bought a preowned 2005 Rocket in January 2007 with 6,000 miles. Since then I did everything possible to have the feeling that the engine runs smoothly. I actually got little fluctuating idle pattern, some "hesitating" engine operation with a constant low throttle opening while riding and small engine vibrations while riding (like not all cylinder where always performing 100%) I did all this: filled the engine with the 15W50 oil, put high perf KN oil filter-air filter, iridium spark plugs, odyssey battery, re-tuning, PCIII,...All this with no 100% satisfaction, let's say I got 85%.
Then I read the thread about the low fuel warning light with the pictures and the idea came up to change the fuel filter and that did it 110%! Hard to believe...A rolex bike! The filter probably filled with some deposit that never went with the treatments (drying, cleaning products I already used...)
So, if you have these symptoms go for it, it's pretty easy and the result is worth it. The last thing I did is to put in the motorcycle Microlon engine treatment and that does it 120%, no joke read the information on www.microlon.com and follow the instructions.
This resine coats the inside of your engine with a low friction resine undestructible for the engine lifetime. It's pricy ($126.00) but does it matter for the Rocket? I did it on my Goldwing with no remarkable engine performance changes but on the Rocket you have a really smoother gearbox operation, smoother clutch and less vibrations. The whole process takes 1000 miles, I did 250 already with A SIGNIFICANT improvement... RMk: I'm not sponsored by Microlon to advertise but just a mechanical freak that feels great when my bike runs great...

I read also that the resin doesn't stick to the fibers of the friction disc but since you have also metal plates in the clutch assembly, I believe that those are filling with some resin what overall gives a smoother clutch transition when you accelerate from a stop. Previously mine had some "hesitations" during clutch engagements when stuck in the traffic on the Beltway around DC.
I did some full power accelerations and there's no clutch slipping whatsoever, for those who would fear this result....
The gearbox transitions are also easier from the amount of pressure your foot must apply...

Microlon could be one of the existing miracle products and that's why you probably doubt about it...but that's exactely why it's FAA approved...made for pilots.. They trust only what they learn...:D

Other than the Web site, do you know any aircraft owners that have used & testified in behalf of the product?

Yes, this comes from a Professional Pilots Network:
I use this fantastic(for me) product as a matter of course due to the unusual profile of the 3000 hours a year my planes do. That is 800ft agl at low power and 60 kts. My valve guides were always coking up with particulates as a result of the low power and i was always having to do a top overhaul at "Half-time" (1000 hours). The magic liquid with its fractured resins effectively "teflon coats" all the surfaces in the engine.
Result (for me anyway) is 5 engines that always now meet TBO
The unexpected result with the lower friction from this one off treatment was 3litres per hour less on my fuel flow meter - CAVEAT- simultaneous install of K+N air filter so no ability to separate the effects of each.
The only hard data i can offer quantitatively is a reduction of 90 degrees F in the CHT as we made the observation in the same flight after fitting.;)
