Hi all,

So I installed the Triumph fuel gauge and clock. Fuel gauge is working other than the obvious flaw of its complete inaccuracy. Will likely do the fuel tank mod at some future point. Problem is that the clock and now my tachometer have decided to stop functioning. The backlight for the tach and clock still work so they are lighting up. However - the clock hands have stopped moving and the buttons don't work. As well, the tach needle no longer functions and the neutral, turn signal and high beam lights no longer function. I thought it might be a fuse issue but this failure seems rather specific and I would expect other parts not to be working if a fuse had blown. Connections all seem fine. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Sorry Johnny, can't help out there, without suggesting you disconnect your fuel gauge ect. and see if the fault goes away, if it does then check you installed it ok or you could have a faulty gauge which is causing the problem. BTW only use the fuel gauge to tell you if your full 1/2 empty or in desperate need, I find with mine that when the gauge hits red the warning light comes on also so its accuracy is not bad at the point you need it. Don't forget also that it doesn't read volume but only level of fuel in tank & the bottom half holds next to sod all, most fuel lives in the top section.

I did not bother to get the fancy set. When my warning light comes on I know I still have 2 gallons so I just punch my mileage indicator when I fill up, my butt is always tired long before I need gas the gauges look fancy but I'm just too cheap
