Thanks Kevin.
I'll make sure to tell my old college buddy that you're impressed with his professional skills!
That part of the house was built in early 2006 by him and his small team of craftsmen, but the main part of the house dates back to 1770, so he had to find stone the right size, shape, colour and aging in order to match the new part with the old part, which wasn't an easy thing to do.

Here's an old photo of my buddy and me back when we were at tech college together....we were just about to head off on a week long road-trip....somewhere.
I was a Yammy guy and he was a Honda guy.

Love Beezers... Hated the right hand shift though... Very nice.
It don’t take long to get used to, try being an international truck driver out of the U.K., we go from driving on the left up to the ferry. Getting off the ferry and having to drive on the Right, whilst still driving a British truck. 😂
Remembering where your gear change is a piece of piss!

I think I might be ok most of the time driving on the left. until a split second emergency maneuver was needed with no time to think. That might end badly.
We’ve got two major USAF Bases in the U.K. Lakenheath and Bentwaters. The amount of Service personnel that have had accidents coming off base is a bit worrying. There was a major diplomatic incident a few years ago, where a female “intelligence” officer drove off base, on the wrong side of the road and ran into a young biker. The lad was killed and she legged it back on base and was flown home almost immediately.
But it just shows how easy it is to forget where you are, I’ve done it myself once forgetting to drive on the right instead of the left and I was on a bike. Lucky I remembered before an accident occurred.
