I really don't care when they wear out, but how the hell did I wear both sides equally? I've seen HD tires that only get ridden in a straight line that are worn in the middle, but my front is about to show steel belts on booths sides and isn't yet at the wear bar in the middle. I don't ride THAT aggressive so there has to be another explanation...jus a horrendously ****ty tire?
Mine wear, or in the case of the Metz - cup, evenly as well.
I do relative little city riding and no commuting. The huge majority of my riding is out on the two lane highways of America. I figure this likely explains it.

Steve depending on which State or territory you are in Auss the road camber can be quite steep NSW roads is probably the worst and The ACT (Canberra) road systems is one of the better, Tasmania, Victoria's arnt to bad and neither is QLD, SA and WA I can't say as it has been many years since I have been there and I have never been to The Northern Territory so I can't comment on it's Roads either
Just done 3000Ks on Exedra Max Front (150x80x16) on Touring , still looks like new ,with Avon Cobra rear a nice combo, but will try Exedra rear to match front.
I usually get 20,000klm out of a front tyre .. but they are well and truly rooted by then. Dave at Tyres for Bikes has a go at every time for riding with scrubbed tyres .. hey I'm a cheapskate I admit it .. hahaha
