Mine wear, or in the case of the Metz - cup, evenly as well.
I do relative little city riding and no commuting. The huge majority of my riding is out on the two lane highways of America. I figure this likely explains it.
 
Sure sounds like an odd wear pattern...both my metz were down to wear bands on the rhs but still had 2mm legal tread depth on the lhs.
 
Ummmm...ok...but I do commute...and ride the back roads...and turn it loose occasionally...I still don't get it
 
Steve depending on which State or territory you are in Auss the road camber can be quite steep NSW roads is probably the worst and The ACT (Canberra) road systems is one of the better, Tasmania, Victoria's arnt to bad and neither is QLD, SA and WA I can't say as it has been many years since I have been there and I have never been to The Northern Territory so I can't comment on it's Roads either

Just to be clear, Ken, can we assume that you're running the 150 radial Max up front? That size is also available in a bias ply, as well.
 
I think the answer is simple...the tires suck. They are an overprice imposter that is posing as a motorcycle tire
 
I usually get 20,000klm out of a front tyre .. but they are well and truly rooted by then. Dave at Tyres for Bikes has a go at every time for riding with scrubbed tyres .. hey I'm a cheapskate I admit it .. hahaha
