Should be a Ten Year Ban

It's not the fact that he was driving over 100 mph. Hell. that's a $900.00 fine and a suspended license for 6 months. If you get caught you pull over and get a ticket. This idiot decided to run over 100 mph on the freeway and 'in town' running posted stop signs in an attempt to evade a speeding ticket. He put the motoring public's life in danger and the cops that chased him. I don't care if this moron kills himself but I don't want him to take innocent people with him. I don't understand the attitude towards the cops for doing what we pay them to do. Do some on here think the reckless driving *****is a victim or a hero? I hope not.
 
How about if you run from the cops its an assumed guilty plea and they can shoot you? Of course Cleveland would be short a quarterback, but the way he's playing, maybe not a bad thing.

Just kidding of course. But yeah, high speed chases are very dangerous and with today's technology, the runner rarely gets away.

I get it, you don't like the police. Lots of people don't. Without them people like the idiot mentioned above would continue putting peoples life at risk. Without the police the Government would take over their job. I like the police as a whole although I have met a few I wouldn't give the time of day. To each his own but I'll take civility over chaos.
 
Oh this thread is going down hill and i can see it.

Speaking from MY truth and allowing for the possibility that it might apply to you it's like this.

I break the law, I speed and I mean I have been way over that little 100 mph mark that was touted in the first post as if it was some unheard of immoral abomination. I do rolling stops, I have run the red light as it turns or even shortly after to keep up with the group. I have altered my bike to be non compliant with the EPA which is a Federal law. I think all this could endanger the public don't you?

So I should be seen an some horrible person that should loose my license and pay a $10'000 fine????? What add six months in jail?

At what point are you morally obligated to disobey the law? I'd say we are there.

We had a similar event in my area several years ago with the police chasing a guy on a Kawasaki H2 at speeds up to 150 miles an hour. There was a video on the news taken from a police helo as he crossed the Tacoma Narrows bridge. The cops gave up the chase to avoid someone getting killed. In the video from the helo, the state policeman can be heard saying "And there he goes".

It wasn't until a year later that I learned the rider was a guy who I knew and had ridden with. Crazy.
