Shoei, my new helmet

I mentioned when I was at the 1/8 mile my Nolan had only DOT and no 2005 or better Snell. AHRA requires Snell. I was ready to buy this, so it was a no brainer to run over to the store and get one right away. All of the Arai helmets I have had (3) were older, so this is no way a fair comparison but my main complaint was noise, thought to be from the neat little covers Arai has over the hinges, so maybe it is fair enough.

I can confirm the Shoei is a LOT quieter.

And the mohawk makes the kids on 600's keep their distance, they aren't sure what I'm gonna try to do, but they don't want to be hit by any of the pieces!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Shoei helmets are the best IMHO. I have a 3/4 which is just the tits. Fits like a glove...comfortable and beautifully made. Expensive but worth every dime.
