No not unless you transfer the rails as they have the pivot attatched to them. You can swap everthing, and also you can swap the touring boards and rails.
I would suggest from a mechanical stand point that it is an inferior solution to retaining the pivot near the board. It's the torsion put on the shifter axle in the block.
What do need replacing are the ****ty joints shown in my picture above - replace with GOOD rose joints.

Just bought a single lever and linkage. Supposed to fit my 2008 Classic which currently has heel / toe shifter, which is a crap idea and much loathed by me.
If it doesn’t work I will do this, rather than cut up my heel / toe shifter.
I will preserve that and sell to a Captain who wants to go that way ... altho God knows why ??!!
