I've had 8 bikes courting this one and I know BS when I hear it. I didn't argue with the service manager, but I told him that was a first for any bike I have owned. Quite frankly, I wouldn't really give a crap whether I had a neutral light or not, but when you can't put the kickstand down when it's actually in neutral and the system doesn't sense it so the engine quits, that pisses me off! If I could defeat the neutral feature, I would.
@Bedifferent I guess I really love to ride and this bike loves to be ridden. Triumph Manassass is not at all afraid about getting warrenty work done. At least not for me as I seem to present them with more issues than the Triumph school house talks about.
@Joesmoe Sorry Paul, but we have had two very different experiences with the same dealer. By the way, Unis has returned to the mech shop, he has always been good to my bike. And next month, they move closer to your house...
I was at Vint Hill Farms in Warrenton many, many years ago. Man has the Manassa area changed. Got my private pilots license at Colgan Airways in Manassas.
GPSs are a little sensitive to their positioning so they sometimes won't read correctly even when there's nothing actually wrong with them. You should try tightening up the bolts just enough to hold the sensor in place but still allow a very small amount of movement against the bolts. Wiggle it a little to see if you can get the light to go on/off and find the right spot before tightening the bolts fully. Also, pulling it out once in a while and giving a clean is a good idea. It can get pretty dirty in there and if the O ring isn't sealing you can get moisture. Worth a try to avoid the heartache.
That wasn't the dealer that was Triumph corporate Brad is over clams and has been great to work with he got me new rims and got me paid for new front springs dealer did them 2 times still not right so I did them showed hit pics of everything they said yes it was bad and told me to send them recites I did about 3 weeks later recover a check for what it cost me now that is service
