Bear, how big a boy are ya?

I bought the dual tour seat with the driver backrest and have mixed feelings about it. I'm on the large size, 6'1" and 300 lbs.

The seat itself forces the rider forward just under an inch. The adjustable backrest has 6 positions with 1 being the most rearward. For me the backrest needs a position 0 to allow me to lean back just a bit more. I find that I can go about 150 miles before I really need to get off the bike and take a stretch. I'm sure other seats are more comfy but mine will have to do for now.

On the plus side, my wife appreciates the room for her. She reports that the seat is really comfy.

A tail dragger airplane. OMG, what a wonderful experience. I flew with a friend a few times in Uvalde that owns one! :D Sorry to steal the thread.

I have been working on a custom seat pad for mine. I couldn't justify the $450 or so charge to get a seat reworked so I decided to use the winter up here for something good.

At 6'4" and #290ish ( 133 kg) I needed to do something to take the bend out of my knees and move me back.

I used three layers of closed cell foam glued together and shaped to my rear under a sheepskin.

I sheared the outer edge of the sheepskin and punched through some eyelets so I can basically lace the thing together inder the seat pan.

it sits me up an inch, and back about an inch.... my knees finally clear my handlebars!

Same problem here, I'm 6'5.5" and 293. I will likely have a custom seat made adding an inch or two of height to the stock pan and eliminate the upsweep at the back of teh seat so I can scoot back another inch or so. I can sit on the stock pillion pad and reach the controls.
