Hi
I am in the process of stripping the bike down to have some work done. Part of that work is having the cast front wheel mountings that are located on the lower forks re-polished as the lacquer has started to crack.
I have stripped the forks all the way down to the tubes but am unable to part the tubes form the lower cast wheel mounts. In the manual it says to hold them in a soft jaw vice and unscrew them. Tried this but tight as hell!!! and not moving at all
Has anyone done this and how did you manage to unscrew the cast mountings from the fork tubes
Any advice welcome
