Rocket Touring Power? Good? Need more??

To find out if the Cams been changed
in the R3T a shop service manual for
the touring model with its changes , should
have the cam specs in it also.
Like the 05 shop service manual does ,
then just compare lifts & duration etc .

I feel ya Indian . . . that's why I like my R3 Classic Tourer . . Tune Boy and Jardines and hold on . . .but it will still cruise gracefully.

I believe Triumph made the new Tourer model for a different style of riding. Those that want power, but not as much as the standard R3's.

Coming from a Harley or metric cruiser, the new R3 Tourer will seem like a power house.

The new Tourer still has the potential to tune, pipe and cam it. If I were to buy a new R3 . . . I'd probably buy the Classic and add the goodies I like on there. Windsheild, bags etc. But I like the power over the slow cruise style of riding. If I wanna do that . . . I just let 'er idle along.

I could always buy a Harley or Metric twin for the slow riding days, . . . .naaaa . . . don't have many of those.

I realize that sound bounces off the windscreen, my current ride has one as well. The tranny noise was very loud CLUNKS at every shift. I have no clue if this is normal or if it is just that bike.
And as stated this bike is aimed at a different buyer. As far as I am concerned a ride isn't a ride if it's not 5000 miles. Handling and ergonomics over HP. But thats just me.
With some tweaking I suspect this platform could lure alot of Harley guys.

Louis,

Hoping to be a Triumph owner someday
