Greetings from sunny North Texas. As a former power plant Operator I'm inclined to believe Engineer is a four letter word that was 'engineered.'

I worked for an engineering construction company and worked onsite on an expansion of a coal fired plant in Hayden, CO and a new plant in Craig, CO in the early 1970's. I was an environmental engineer but got my growth stunted by griping from the Hayden operator crew anyway. It is true that the desk bound engineers don't often understand the concept of feedback.
