Well, if you wanted to be really out there in the edge of sanity you could have a 0.550 Imp Gal sticker made to slap on there. That would get you some questions.

I guess the fact that someone made a killing on selling homemade 140 Cubic Inch stickers for the oil tank badge of the RIIIs is a long forgotten memory. ;)

You do you and have fun doing it!

Why in the hell would anyone care if someone wants to add, subtract or modify their Rockets. The guy is just looking for info on a decal removal. Why would anyone call him on it? It's his Motorcycle. The negativity on this forum has been getting worse over the last year or so. If it bothers you then just walk away. Unbelievable. :banghead::banghead:

Personally I'd leave it alone unless you can be absolutely sure of how it's been fixed on. I wonder whether it is stuck down given the heat it's subjected to. If it is mechanically fixed it won't have been designed to be removed and there's a good chance of damaging either the decal or the fitting on the cam cover it attaches to.
If it is stuck down I'd want to know what with and whether I could source more of the same substance to stick on its replacement before reaching for the pry bar.

ebay has all sorts of 2.5L badges you could stick them all over. I'd warm it up and lift the factory emblem from both ends to keep the locating tabs from kinking or breaking. Maybe use some kind of plastic spatulas.

First, sorry for all the drama.

As for the decal, my guess is that it is stamped into the cover via 2 posts. It will probably pry right out with enough elbow grease, but may not insert back nicely; assuming the posts don't break off in the first place. So guess I'll leave it well enough alone

My wanting to change the decal is to personalize and tease HD bagger guys. They're always bragging about having a "110ci motor" blah blah blah. You know cause their motors are too big to be measured in cc above 1200...so in kind, my rocket is too big to continue to be measured in cc, hence 2.5L...or maybe 153ci...haha, but that would be sacrilegious to the rocket...yes my other ride is a 1200 spotster

I think I'll wait until I can make it 2.5L S/C
