Road to Damascus

Any of you Virginia riders ever ride 58 from Independance to Damascus? Lisa and I found that road on the advice of a nice old gentleman weekend before last. Very curvy and pretty road, a lot of traffic though. Esp. near Damascus. Trucks, vans and trailers loaded down with mountain bikes. The Virginia creeper trail runs through Damascus, and it must be the mountain bike capitol of the east coast.

That's a long way from here in Fredericksburg. I noticed that it's near "Hungry Mother State Park." I don't know about you, but I'm not going anywhere near a hungry mother.
