Thanks Ruz, reckon these are the go. Shame about the red light but I agree with you, who cares and at least they're visible. Guess you could argue they're not indicators, they're warning lights.

I be anxious to put mine on this week. My bro was squatted down diddling with my V2K and stumbled backwards a little bumping his back into the left front signal on my R3R. The chintzy POS broke off clean! $50 to replace the cheap plastic body and mount with another cheap plastic body and mount. Ouch! Faggetaboutit!

I'm going to just $hit can the buggers and run only the new mirrors. So I reckon I'll have a spare right front signal. :D

Thanks for the Ruzzle, checked the other thread and I'll be ordering the Rivco's soon, I think I'll go for the black ones sometimes chrome is over rated.
I think I like the idea of swapping out the other blinker lamps with LEDs, any more info on what LEDs to get and what about this "electronic flasher can" got a part number ?

This is an Australian store, but you should be able to find what you want somewhere in a USA store?? Tho these people will ship to you if you want....

Automotive LED park / indicator light replacement bulbs

I got the 27 LED bulbs. They're 15 mm diam. base, single contact, 40 mm length, plenty room in FRONT OEM blinker units to fit them. Can't remember about rear ones, you'd have to pull a lens off and measure available length...

If you look at the website menu on the left, automotive, 12v, electronic flasher cans, it will give you some info. You need a 3-pin unit. Hella will do them... here's a Narva unit P/No 68245...

Got my LED relay from Amazon for $10 Amazon.com: Amico Car Vehicle 3 Pin LED Turn Blinker Light Flasher Relay 12V DC 0.02-20A: Automotive

For the taller riders (I'm 6'6") I had to adjust my controls up a bit to get proper viability from these mirrors. That being said they are indeed easy to wire in and reports from the group I rode with this weekend very visible front and rear.

Dunno how old your bike is, Bull, but it's PROBABLY got an el-cheapo flasher can which is designed to flash at the correct rate, with the OEM bulbs and indicator light totalling about 22 watts. Your OEM flasher bulbs are probably 10 watts each.

If you change that electrical load by more than a few watts, the flasher will speed up or slow down or just not work. (LEDs are prolly only about 1 watt each.)

So count up how many watts are in use at the one time, with whatever setup you build, if it's much different to 22, you'll need an electronic flasher can. They self-adjust to electrical load, to maintain correct flasher rate.

The flasher can is behind the right hand side cover, next to, and ahead of, the starter relay.

I have mounted the Rivcos (stiff suckers) and have a question about the wiring.
I am deleting the stock front signals. Will this require one of those relay thongos?
If so, where does this puppy go?
Thanks for any assistance,

There was a good youtube video posted recently by BennyP. It wasn't the subject, but was shown and explained in it. http://www.r3owners.net/general-tec...od-youtube.html?highlight=starter+relay+video

From what I've learned, you can either go with the new relay or put a load limiter in. Are you changing the rear signals as well? If you're changing the rear, I'd just go with the new relay. The limiter is only if you're trying to run both standard and LED to get them to blink at the same rates.

Did you need the adapters from NewR3 to mount the mirrors? My mirrors still haven't arrived yet :(

cardinal93,
Nothing extra was needed. The mirrors adjustment was stiffer than a 19 year old's pecker. I intend to play further with the clearance against the throttle cables as well.
At the moment I can't climb aboard and fiddle with adjustment as my rear wheel is still off until I finish with removal of the rear end, lube both shaft ends and mount my new Hagon Nitros. To be soon continued . . .
Best Regards,
