Riding home from work

The unfortunate end to this story is that those terrified kids are likely to grow up and learn to be twice the ******* their parent figure is . It's their generation who will be roaming the streets when we are infirm .
It's a scary thought ! ! :(

It's Thursday now...

Sonny, you know I am absolutely a Christian, but am not a religious fanatic & I refer to those types as pseudo-Christian hypocrite's - He needed another bumper sticker next to that one that says: I'm not a real man :banghead:

I've had so many similar situations when out riding my road bike (the kind you pedal) on back roads & smaller county roads around here. It's amazing who superior people feel like they are around bikes.
One time I was going down a very narrow blacktop country road, going down a steep hill at about 28 mph or so & this SUV went around my FLYING at about 65 -70 on a 35 mph road! the SUV barely missed sideswiping me by mere inches. Well about a mile down the road they got caught at a red light & I was eyeball popping-pedaling to catch the idiot. When I realized it was caught at the red light & I was actually able to catch up, I came flying up to the vehicle, flat spotting my little skinny bike tires braking, & started BEATING on the drivers window & then was surprised to see it was a woman! She cracked down her window & I started hollering & cursing her out (see - not a pseudo Christian ) - she had a young boy (about 10 -12 years old) in the passenger seat & she started screaming at me: HOW DARE I CURSE AT HER IN FRONT OF HER LITTLE BOY!!!! All I could say at that point is: HOW DARE YOU TEACH THAT LITTLE BOY HOW TO RUN PEOPLE OFF THE ROAD WITH NO REGARD TO THEIR SAFETY & THEIR LIFE WHEN DRIVING A VEHICLE..........HYPOCRITE.
Amazing!!!! :banghead:

Bloody cyclists . Think they own the road ! :sneaky: ;)

Yea, actually I hate em. I used to ride in large packs back in the day when cyclists knew how to ride in groups & still stay out of vehicles way...... Now days, there are so many of them & they are tar-tard's & they DO think they own the road. They ride 2 abreast & when a car is coming they won't file into a single line like we did back in the day. Oh for the good ole days.... I ride solo on non busy back roads only these days - Hell, maybe that's why that Lady tried to run me off the road, she probably thought I was one of them. looking back on it I shouldn't be mad at her!

Clint , reading bout pedals and country lanes reminds me of a situation I got myself in some years back . Where I grew up was a smallholding a couple of miles from the nearest town . The route home included a mile of steep hill up a very narrow English country road . I borrowed a mates Puch Maxi moped as my own bike had broken down , as I started up the hill the bloody thing ran out of steam and I could only maintain forward momentum by peddalling. Eventually the motor stalled and the cars started queuing up behind me with nowhere to pull in I had to keep going . Too humiliated to stop I pedalled that bastard thing at least half a mile up a one in three Hill at an average speed of slower than walking pace , with a que of at least 10 cars behind all cursing and swearing . When I did eventually find somewhere to let them all pass I had to stand up straight and pretend I wasnt tired so I could give em the finger as they gestured past me . It **** near killed me and I never bin near a contraption with pedals since !
