Reverse Gear

I wonder if it would be possible to have a new differential gear cut with a higher ratio for those that mainly just cruise the highways? I thought about purchasing a used differential sometime and seeing what our machine shop at work might be able to do with it.

Are we talking stock bike here? (Keep in mind that I'm still running-in a 1 week old bike so I'm may be completely full of sh*t)

One of your yankee miles equates to 1.61 of our aussie kilometres - so, if the Rocket can theoretically hit 239mph that equals 385km/h??? At 3000rpm my beastie does 120km/h so at 6000 theory is she'll do about 240km/h depending on wind/fuel etc? that equals 139mph.

Someone tell me I'm missing something here before I send my bike back to the shop to find my extra 100mph!!

Reverse gear? Just park smart and you won't need it.

Six speed? Here I am thinkin the rocket would be better suited to a four speed with all that torque. I think what you blokes want is an overdrive. A six speed would be direct in top the same as a five speed.

Warp9.9's rocket has a few modifications.

I live in wales and there are **** loads of hills. Most of the time no probs but every now and again its a problem

Your not missing much except the proper horse power and a 9000 rpm rev limit. (Special Tune Boy maps) Supplied in every Carpenter Silver back. Oh and well some of us fellers had them also. It works great with 11.8:1 pistons big cams .443" Lift ,2 mm larger Titainium intake valves, custom porting and O-ringing of each cylinder to with stand the boost level of the Rotrex Supercharger. The only thing else your missing is the stones to ride that fast. MYself I have not gone over 207mph yet

Reverse would be bliss. Where I work the owner is impressively cheap so we have lots of gravel and sand in the parking lot, 2 things that are not good for backing up 800+lbs of motorcycle and catching that inevitable "foot slip".
