I have spent the last 2 weeks in Olean, NY for some training. While I was there last week end I went over to Erie, PA and rented a 2011 Electra Glide Classic for a day. I was taken back at the lack of throttle response with thier drive by wire setup. You talk about a PIG. Once I was rolling at highway speeds and in 6th gear and cruz, the bike performed ok. I had to literally ride it like I was mad at it. The folks that I rented from were some great people to deal with but that bike was a total TURD. I wouldn't take 2 of those bikes for my 06 Classic.

I just got in today from a nice day on MY bike. This is the first time I have had a chance to ride my bike in about 6 weeks because it has been just too dam hot. Today's high got up to around 92 and this morning was just awesome.

One of my son's just sold his Yamaha Raider and purchased a new 2011 Victory Crossroads. Man they are a nice bike, low and long. All the right options and black and chrome. I took a turn on it and it rode great and handled great. Just a little under powered, ok A LOT under powered, but still a nice bike. Once you get used too having 150 hp at your finger tips, its just plain hard to ride anything else.

Friend of mine is planning to buy one of those harley with all the bags and crap as well as towing a small camper trailer to ride around oz.
I hate to be on it trying to overtake a triple roadtrain on a dusty narrow road.:(
It has to be a harley and the dumbest thing is that the local Triumph dealer is a close relation to him.

Victory are new in oz and I suspect they will command a big chunk of the market here once people understand how much more power they have over the HD range.
My brother just a bought a 2011 Hammer 8 Ball, really nice bike.Nice smooth lines with a finish to match.
