:?: :?: :?: Is it possible to take off the logo on the Rocket III tank, or is it bradded on or something that will look bad if removed? Before anyone goes nuts, not sure I want it off, but I'm **** curious if I can?????????

If I remember the badge comes off easy and behind it are two small screw holes, these would need to be filled and then shaved flat. I would just keep the badge if it were not going to interfere with a paint scheme.

Multibob is correcto. The badges are stickies but have a nobby that fits into some screw holes in the tank, probably more for placement than securing them to the tank.

I wouldn't remove those things unless you're repainting the whole tank since you have to fill those holes and paint over them.

Same deal with removing that chrome head cap emblem thingy at the tip of the front fender. It is secured by screws and holes in the fender, so removing that reveals those holes, which would be hard to fill unless you can weld a backing and then fill the recess in. I cut the fender so that wasn't a concern.

Thanks! Definitely won't be removing. You guys know how it is. Standing in the garage, looking for something else to change on a perfectly good bike, and my curiosity got the better of me! I'm just glad I asked you guys before doing the normal...rip into something, screw it up, spend more $$$ just to get back to where I started! Thanks again! -mike

forward controls

Hi RockT3, scooter looks great, it looks like you have the RAASK forward controls. If so do you know how far forward they move from original pos. I need them due to stuffed hips. but from what i can see on their web site it looks like they only move f about 50mm or 2'' and that's not enough for me. :?: 8)

Yup, Thats about as far forward as you can go with them. I actually got them so I could move them back as to have my feet under me. Wich is hard to believe but is really more comfortable on long rides. When you first get on the bike it's kind of wierd , the pegs are 5" back and about a inch higher so when you first take off you really feel it lifting your feet onto the pegs. Once you get used to it I like it better as it makes room for the highway pegs and gives you multiple foot locations.
