Remove 'damper' from handle bars

I changed handlebars and left them off. I couldn't detect any difference. Your handlebars will also be about 5cm (2") narrower.
 
Thanx. I'll try first without the weights.
But I need something anyway to cover the holes on both sides.

Note that the 1 inch gtips will fit over your left bar and the plastic OEM throttle.
You will have to cut the OEM grip to remove from the throttle.
My left side grip needed some glue.
 
Thanx. Will cut them both. Dont like the oem grips anyway. They have little grip.

I removed the removable portion of mine to fit new grips...the inside weights remained, and the bars feel quite nice.
