HD2, If you have full insurance, accident, collision etc, your insurance makes it right with you, then they go after the other guy's insurance company. If that's the case, leave it up to them. All insurance companies see it as their job to collect premiums, not necessarily to pay out claims.

First estimate is $3200 from the insurance adjuster. The guy that took it to the dealer said it looked like the radiator was crooked. Neither the adjuster or I noticed it. Who knows what else the dealer will find. If there's much more I may be looking for another Rocket.

oh, and the guy at the dealer said it was dead. Not sure why that would happen unless the towing people turned the key all the way to the left. I remember when it was laying in the road turning it off and making sure the headlights weren't on.

HD2Rocket3, Glad to hear you and your wife is ok.
But when I was reading your post and you said " Sure was a sad sight to see my beloved Rocket laying on its side in the middle of the road and then getting loaded up on a flat bed. "
I thought you were about to say that you were sad to see your beloved wife laying on her side:) I think you better not let her read this post she might think you like your Rocket better:D

If she had been laying in the road I would have probably felt bad. But she was just standing by watching them get the bike off me :)

Sorry to hear about your bad news, I suppose it's easy to say "at least your OK". I had an rta about 8weeks ago, & I know that after you relax after realising your OK you just worry & feel bad about your bike. Mine was a road tanker pulled out in front of me & I can still remember the site of those wheels coming at me & thinking I was going under them, I was fine & walked away, after that all I could do was think of getting my Rocket back. Hope it all turns out ok & good luck from the UK.

It's hard not to think about what might have happened, glad you are OK as well. I just want to get back on again before I forget how!
