REAR DIFFENTIAL OIL

Triumph recommends a 75W-90 gear oil. I have been using Amsoil's Severe Gear 75W-90 oil since new. It's expensive but since you only use 4 oz at a time, it's cheap.

Amsoil recommends changing the oil every 100,000 miles in an automotive application but in a motorcycle and with only 4 oz in the sump, I change mine every summer. The first time you drop the oil, you will be amazed with the amount of contaminants that come out. That's why it should be changed often initially. You will find that the oil gets cleaner after a couple of changes.

I use Royal Purple 75w90. I change mine every second season so 1L will last forever.

I change mine around twice a season. My Bel Ray goes from cherry red to black with each change.

Maybe I just do it more often because it is easy and fun to do.

first time i was shocked the small amount that came out and very black since then it comes out like new but i change it every engine oil change (5000 miles)
just go easy on the bottom drain

I use Amsoil. Seems to be good oil. Am using it for the engine the year.
