There is a campsite half way between MV and Cherokee......it is called the lost cove.
There are some closer I believe but they are as much to throw a tent down as they are to get a room.

Proximity was the primary consideration as it appears the rooms are spoken for or does the overflow hotel (name ? #?) still have some avail? The holiday valley hotel is closed until Sunday the 13th? I may be referring to some of the names in error.

All you have to do Is call the Holiday they are handling the overflow arrangements the town is full of motels within walking distance should be no problem finding a room. they close for vacation for a few weeks between the fall color and ski seasons. give them a call Monday and speak with Rob or Gabi @ 877-686-4386 they will take care of you. * Maggie Valley Motel in North Carolina - Maggie Valley Hotel A Holiday Motel
