just by listening to em talk, their mannerisms,
the way they come across with everybody else,
is just the way they come across here,
so it really is like a family reunion where you already know everybody,
now like every family, we have liberals, conservatives, Buttheads, and good ole boys an girls.

Pssst, Skip, It's me Fred F. from that "other" site. I went to both Raa's this year. That's why I can't wait until next year ! It's like Christmas for adults !

Jim, the BRP is very scenic but may have a lot of slow traffic and speed limilts are 35-45mph.

If you have never done it, you should on the way there OR on the way back.

But it takes a lot of time.

You are welcome to come to PA...stop over with us and ride with us.

If I take you on my twistie route, Louise may be begging you to get on the freeways.

+1 on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Skyline Dr. The northern 110 mile end is Skyline Dr which starts in Front Royal, VA and ends at IH 64 near Waynesboro, VA. The speed limit is 35 mph with the occassional slower zones near park lodgings and campgrounds. You can cruise at 40 mph with no problem. Fall is the busy time. May should be fairly clear of traffic.

The south end of Skyline Dr turns into the Blue Ridge Parkway. The speed limit increases to 45 mph and can be cruised at 50. There's no hurry here. If you're looking for twisties, go somewhere else. If you are looking for an enjoyable, easy going route, the BRP is great.

Funny, I do feel like I will be meeting old friends & family. Really excited and it will sure help pass the long Maine winter. Now a whole lot of work to get done on the Rocket in the meantime, lay out the trip, try to gain a few pounds for those of you who worry about my appearance in my avatar. The Blue Ridge is a beautiful ride just make sure you can take your sunglasses down on your nose but calls there is a bunch of tunnels and I do love the ones that come out of and you think you're in an airplane looking out over the nose that is some scenery
