Not that this should sway the decision, but I will be leaving Houston on June 9 to ride to Deadhorse, Alaska via Key West, FL so if this happens in June I will have to offer my regrets. However, we are planning on a swing thru the blue ridge country on our way north so we might could spend a night or at least break open a jar with the folks one evening

We need to firm up a date and a place as time is marching on. Somewhere along the BlueRidge Pkwy would be a good start? July is pretty much booked up for me but late June would be ideal.

Blue Ridge parkway is a good ride. Did it a few times while stationed in Norfolk. Really liked it in the fall.The colors were awesome. Some folks say that the Blue Ridge is crowded during the summer. Never found that to be a problem. Talimena Drive is kind of like riding in the back yard but it would be nice to see the Blue Ridge mountains again.

Doubt I will be home from Alaska by then. On another note...I had sorta planned on swinging by to see you and Jim on the way home. I may have 1 or 2 guys with me on the way up but alone on the way back so was thinking about taking the ferry from Anchorage down the inside passage then the PCH down to hit I-10 and home
